Our Story
The Shirin & Sajmila International Foundation is named in loving memory of the late Professor Dr. Shirin A. Chowdhury and her daughter, Sajmila Jishmam Uzma. Dr. Chowdhury was a nationally renowned business professor, a three-time cancer survivor, and a passionate social activist. Her daughter, Sajmila, served as a cultural ambassador, representing Bangladesh on global platforms and inspiring others through her creative vision and humanitarian spirit.
What began as a tribute to their legacies has grown into a thriving social enterprise, reaching thousands of individuals each year. Rooted in an interdisciplinary approach, our work spans education, healthcare, human rights, and community development, with a strong focus on minority inclusion.
At the Shirin Sajmila International Foundation, we are dedicated to transforming lives and empowering marginalized communities by fostering health, education, and sustainable development. Through innovative programs, humanitarian aid, and partnerships, we strive to uplift marginalized women, children, and vulnerable populations worldwide. Guided by compassion and resilience, we address pressing global challenges, from disaster relief to climate adaptation, building a brighter, equitable future for all.
